ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 Cards Now Available; Starts From RM8400

ASUS’ custom-cooled GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards are now officially on the market, along with every other card from NVIDIA’s AIB partners. As it does with all of its major products, the flagship GPU will be available in its two lineups, ROG Strix and TUF Gaming.

In total, the number of RTX 4090 variations that ASUS actually has under the two lineups are four. However, the total number of cards it is bringing into Malaysia is just three. Specifically, they are an OC and non-OC version of the TUF Gaming SKU, and the OC version of the ROG Strix variant.

As the top-tier variant of the RTX 4090, the ROG Strix model sports and an redesigned cooler shroud. On top of that, it’s also significantly bigger than NVIDIA’s own FE version of the card, and takes up 3.5 slots on the motherboard. Naturally, the card also comes with the usual accoutrements warranted to top-tier products, such as a intricately designed backplate, a patented vapour chamber cooling system, and a triple-fan solution using upgraded Axial-tech.

Moving down the line, the two TUF Gaming RTX 4090 cards still use that same clean, militaristic design, complete with the angular, clean cuts in the cooler shroud, although this time around, ASUS seems to have toned that last bit down a little. Like its ROG Strix sibling, the card ships out with the same updated triple-fan configuration and vapour chamber.

That being said and regardless of design and cooling method, the heart of these RTX 4090 cards and their PCB remain the same. They are still built on the same Ada Lovelace architecture, based on the 4nm process node from TSMC; has 24GB GDDR6X memory running at 21Gbps and 384-bit memory bus; is flanked by 3nd generation Ray-Tracing (RT) Cores and 4th generation Tensor Cores, and 16394 CUDA cores.

Pricing for the TUF Gaming and ROG Strix Series RTX 4090 cards starts at RM8400 and RM9499 for the standard and OC version of the TUF Gaming models, respectively, while the top-tier ROG Strix model goes for RM10199.
