Loke to meet TBS management over preparedness to manage passengers

KUALA LUMPUR: Transport Minister Anthony Loke will be holding a meeting with the management of the Southern Integrated Terminal (TBS) to discuss its preparedness to manage the large number of passengers on weekends and festive seasons.

In a Facebook entry Thursday (Dec 15) night, Loke also said he will meeting the management of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) soon to discuss ways to improve and increase the frequency of Komuter services.

“I understand KTMB is facing various constraints due to the KVDT1 (Klang Valley Double Tracking Phase 1) project which is still not completed and KVDT2, which is disrupted,” he said.

On Thursday evening, he inspected the KTM Komuter service and the situation at TBS by taking the train from KL Sentral to Bandar Tasik Selatan station with two of his assistants.

The visit was held following numerous feedback on social media relating to Komuter services and the problem of printing bus passes at TBS. – Bernama
