Johor polls: BN is best choice for economic growth and stability, Dr Wee tells voters

PETALING JAYA: Economic growth depends on political stability, and Barisan Nasional is the best choice for all Johor voters, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

In his Facebook post after a dinner organised by the Guan Sheng Gong Paloh Deity Association, the MCA president said a strong coalition consisting of Malay, Chinese and Indian elected representatives would be formed if the Barisan candidates were given the mandate by the people of Sembrong on March 12.

“It reflects the plural society of Malaysia when the three main races work as a team.

“I understand boosting economic growth is the main focus of all parties regardless of race and religion, especially at a time when we are facing challenges due to Covid-19,” he said.

“But we also need to remember, economic growth depends on political stability. A strong and stable government is able to realise this important mission for the benefit of the people,” he said in the post.

Barisan, he added, has an excellent administrative record which makes it the best choice for Johor.

The dinner was also attended by Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who introduced Barisan’s candidate for Paloh, Lee Ting Han, to the audience.

According to the post, a total of 75 Chinese and Indian NGOs from Paloh attended the dinner.
