It’s pretty typical of Apple for not sharing certain specifications for some of its products. The latest of which being the 2022 iPhone SE, which comes with an undisclosed amount of RAM. But thanks to a recent finding, it is reported that the phone will be equipped with more memory than its predecessor.

According to MacRumors and independent developer Moritz Sternemann, it is discovered that the recently launched SE features a RAM capacity of 4GB, which is a gigabyte more than the 2020 iPhone SE model. This particular detail was sourced from strings within the Xcode 13.3 Release Candidate that Apple released following its Peek Performance launch event, the publication noted.

MacRumors claims that the same type of Xcode strings have accurately revealed the RAM configurations of several generations of iPhones and iPads, prior to this. It is through this approach, the publication added, which enabled it to find out the memory capacity of last year’s iPad mini.

If proven accurate, the increased RAM capacity will come in handy for users, especially when paired together with the A15 Bionic chip featured on the 2022 iPhone SE. This enables better multitasking, improved performance for apps and games, efficient web browsing, and so on.

The third generation iPhone SE is slated to arrive in Malaysia on 25 March, with pre-orders opening starting 18 March. Pricing-wise, the phone will retail at RM2,099 for the 64GB storage version, RM2,299 for 128GB, and RM 2,799 for the 256GB option.
