KOTA TINGGI: Two men were injured after the car they were travelling in plunged into a 10-metre ravine at Jalan Kota Tinggi-Tanjung Sedili near here.
According to the Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue department acting chief Norahpandi Samsudin the department received an emergency call on Thursday (Feb 10) at 2.27pm.
“Eleven firefighters from the Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue Department were deployed to the accident scene near a poultry farm,” he said in a statement.
Norahpandi said the operations were led by senior officer II, Mohd Rafi Mohd Nor with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) vehicle.
He said the driver and the passenger of Proton Wira had crawled out from the car before the arrival of the firemen.
Norahpandi said the victims identified as Muhammad Iman Mohamad Sahak, 22, and his 63-year old father Mohamad Sahak Kiro.
“They were sent to the Kota Tinggi Hospital for treatment,” he said adding the operations ended at 3.13pm.
