You’ve likely seen the name Martha is Dead in the news recently, what with it being an especially disturbing horror game. It’s got a scheduled release date of 24 February. But it looks like the developers at LKA will need to do some last minute changes for the PlayStation versions of the game.
Publisher Wired Productions said on Twitter that LKA needs to make some unplanned changes for the PS4 and PS5 versions of Martha is Dead. These changes will make “some elements no longer playable”. While the game will still release digitally on 24 February, physical editions will be delayed for a few weeks. The publisher goes on to say that PC and Xbox versions of the game will be unaffected, and will launch with the “full unedited gameplay”.

Beyond the “some elements no longer playable” bit, there’s no indication as to what’s been changed. But the highlight on other platforms getting the “full unedited” version suggests censorship of some level, requested by the higher ups at PlayStation. Though it’s worth noting that the platform got itself in the news for doing something similar, and got itself in the spotlight with Devil May Cry 5.
If you’re looking forward to playing Martha is Dead, and want the full experience, then PC looks to be the way to go. Of course, you can also look at the replies of the announcement tweet to see what people are guessing one of the edited scene looks like.
