Johor polls: PKR announces seven more candidates for the state election

BATU PAHAT: PKR has named seven more candidates making it a total of 13 seats so far, which the party will be contesting in the Johor state election.

Party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the seven candidates at a hotel along Jalan Rogayah here on Monday (Feb 14).

They are C. Subramani for Buloh Kasap, Yoong Thau for Pemanis, Na’im Jusri for Gambir, Md Ysahrudin Kusni for Bukit Naning where he was also the incumbent.

The others were Azmi Masrani for Sri Medan, Abdullah Sahid for Sungai Balang, and incumbent Semerah assemblyman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar who would be defending his seat in the Johor polls.

Earlier in Rengit, Anwar announced that former education minister and current Simpang Renggam MP Dr Maszlee Malik would be representing PKR to contest in the Layang Layang seat.

He also announced PKR candidates for five seats in the southern region in Johor Baru.

They were state PKR women chief Napsiah Khamis for Kempas seat, Chiong Sen Sern (Bukit Batu), S. Gopalakrishnan (Tiram), Dr Zamil Najwah Arbain (Larkin) and Fakhruddin Moslim (Pasir Raja).
