JOHOR BARU: Police have issued 60 summonses for various traffic offences at a road block during Ops Lampu Merah at Jalan Pasir Pelangi near here.

Johor Baru South (JBS) OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the operation was conducted on Tuesday (Feb 15) from 1pm until 3pm.

“We inspected 129 individuals and examined 97 vehicles in the operation,’’ he said in a statement.

ACP Raub said 36 summonses were issued to offenders for beating the red light and 24 summonses for various traffic offences.

He said while the operation focused on motorists for beating red traffic lights.
