As promised by the company last week, iQOO Malaysia has launched both the Z7 and Z7x phones. And indeed, it is only the two models in question, with the third variant, the Z7i, not making landfall.
It looks like the spec sheet of both devices have remained intact as well, with no changes between markets. But to quickly go over the details, both the iQOO Z7 and Z7x share a 6.64-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The base model gets a slight leg up as it is the only one to also come with HDR10 support. Both have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and power button combo, the rarity that is the 3,5mm audio jack, as well as a USB-C charging port.
Beyond the surface is where we start to see the difference between the two variants. Starting with the iQOO Z7, this comes packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G chipset, and a 5000mAh battery with 120W charging support, which is pretty speedy, especially for a mid-range device. At the back is the 64MP main + 2MP depth sensor combo, and sitting in a punch-hole cutout is a 16MP secondary shooter.
As for the iQOO Z7x, this instead comes packed with a Snapdragon 695 chipset, and a slightly larger 6000mAh battery. As a tradeoff, the charging speed is a little lower but still very respectable 80W. It is also the only one of the two to have a microSD card slot, which allows up to 1TB of extra storage space. For its cameras, it comes with a 50MP main + 2MP depth sensor combo, with the front-facing 8MP camera also sitting in a punch-hole cutout.
Both phones have launched with two RAM and storage configurations. For the iQOO Z7, this gets a choice of 8GB +128GB or 12GB 256GB, and their prices of RM1499 and RM1299, respectively. For the Z7x, this comes with 8GB + 128GB and 8GB +256GB configurations, which are priced at RM999 and RM1099, respectively. Both are available via the official vivo e-store, as well as the official iQOO Malaysia stores on Shopee and Lazada, with early bird promos running until 18 April.
