Are you an electrical engineer that specialises in chip design? Do you think you have what it takes to develop a new GPU for the next generation of portable computing? If the answer to both questions are yes, then you could be what Intel is looking for.
The chipmaker recently posted a job listing on its jobs page, saying that it is on the hunt for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, specifically within its GPU division. Additionally, successful candidates will based at Intel’s Swindon-based lab in the UK.

As part of their job, they will also have to be proficient in scripting for automation, as well as have some experience in GPU hardware design. and engines.
The low-power GPU market is currently dominated by two major players: ARM’s Mali development team, and Imagination Technologies’ PowerVR team. As pointed out by Tom’s Hardware, both groups are old hands at the development of low-power GPUs cores, all of which are currently being used by other tech giants, such as Apple, MediaTek, and Samsung, to name a few.
